Last update!

Hey hey,

It’s my last full week here in Australia so I’ve been ticking heaps of things off my list of jobs to do – mostly things I’ve not been able to do until now. I’ve been trying to get as much done this week as I can because my last week is going to be pretty busy with work, packing, and catching up with friends and family for the last time. (Next week’s post will obviously also be an update of sorts because I’ll be talking about all I’ve done to pack and get ready to go).

· Went into Optus and have set up to have my number and plan suspended while I’m away so I won’t lose either and can reinstate them when I get back in January

· Got a haircut

· Picked up some last bits and pieces from Chemist Warehouse

· Downloaded the apps of all the airlines I’m travelling with so I can receive flight update notifications on my phone and can check in to my flights

· Used up a couple of vouchers I got for my birthday that will expire before I get back

· Went to the chiropractor

I’ve also been receiving heaps of emails from my new Ole Miss advisor (since our last one left her job) including one about an excursion to Memphis we’re doing in orientation week, information about our free shuttle from Memphis Airport to campus, my scheduled appointments for mandatory health tests and academic advising/timetabling, and approval that our insurance waiver has been approved (in short: Deakin’s travel insurance that I’ve been registered for (which was free) covers everything that Ole Miss’ insurance does so I don’t have to pay $1500AUD for Ole Miss’ insurance as well).

Last night (Saturday) I went out with friends to celebrate my last Saturday night with them for a while, and tonight I had my going away dinner with my family. Next week is going to be super busy with working, appointments, washing, catching up with friends and packing, but I think I’ve got myself pretty well sorted out and I’ve got myself a plan so hopefully everything goes smoothly!

Unfortunately I’ve only got that short little summary for this week but trussssst me, next week’s post will be jam packed! I can’t wait! 6 DAYS TO GO!!!
